Paint set of 8 colours in 17ml; developed to paint the aircraft of the aviation division of the Japanese Imperial Army (IJA) deployed in the war with China during the years before the attack on Pearl Harbor (December 1941) and the subsequent entry into the WWII conflict until August 1945.
Contents:
- IJA Dark Green (FS 34082): Upper surface colour applied in one coat only and/or mottled on natural metal or Grey Green/Light Grey Green lower surface. Also combined with Dark Beige in multiple combinations.
- IJA Olive Green (FS 33070): Upper surface colour very similar to its equivalent “Olive Drab” of the USAAF. Used beginning 1943 on fighters of the IJA. On natural metal or Grey Green/Light Grey Green lower surface.
- IJA Khaki Brown (FS 30118): Upper surface colour and occasionally on all surfaces of single-engine aircraft and bi-engine fighters in the years 1944/45. Combined with Grey Green on lower surfaces.
- IJA Dark Beige (FS 30215): Upper surface colour combined with Dark Green or occasionally as a single colour coating. Lower surface in metal or Grey Green/Light Grey Green.
- IJA Grey Green (FS 36405): Lower surface colour used beginning 1943. Combined with any of the green or khaki colours on the upper surface. Fabric control surfaces on aircraft with metal finish.
- IJA Light Grey Green (FS 34424): Color for lower or all surfaces. Combined with any of the green or khaki colours on the upper surface. Fabric control surfaces on aircraft with metal finish.
- Aluminium (FS 37178): In aircraft of the IJA the absence of camouflage, either partial or total, is customary.
- “Aotake” Translucent Green: Translucent lacquer, a protector applied on the interior parts of metallic structures (fuselage, cockpit, etc.).
